Peter Moertl, originally from Austria, boasts a rich background in both the corporate world and Tibetan Buddhist philosophy. Holding an MBA from the Vienna University of Business Administration and Economics, he enjoyed over 20 years of success in major international companies across Austria, Germany, and Sweden. Renowned for his exceptional communication skills and ability to forge strong partnerships, Peter's journey took a turn towards spirituality following personal tragedies in 2007.
His search for answers regarding life and death led him to Geshe Michael Roach's book, "The Diamond Cutter." This encounter sparked a profound interest in Tibetan Buddhism, prompting Peter to delve into the 18 courses offered by the Asian Classics Institute (ACI) and embrace daily meditation. In 2009, he deepened his commitment by volunteering at the Diamond Mountain Retreat Center in Arizona, where he assisted with preparations for a three-year retreat while continuing his ACI studies.
By 2014, Peter had completed all 18 ACI courses and remains dedicated to ongoing learning within this lineage. He, along with his wife Maria Kondratyeva, actively contributes to translating ACI course materials into Russian, advocating for the accessibility of this invaluable spiritual education. Their efforts ensure the continuation of Tibetan Buddhism's transmission in the Western world.
Reflecting on his personal transformation through ACI studies, Peter emphasizes the reduction of anxiety in his life. He attributes this to a deeper understanding of the causes behind people and events, empowering him to create his desired reality. Peter views intellectual comprehension as the initial step, followed by the practical application of karmic principles to manifest aspirations. His greatest success, in this regard, is the conscious creation of his partnership with Maria, a testament to the transformative power of Tibetan Buddhist teachings.
